Hello! I'm Lillian McIntyre.
I am an undergraduate student double majoring with a BA in Japanese and a BFA in Studio Art, concentration Painting. I am currently hoping to complete a PhD in Japanese Literature in the future and become a tenured professor. I want to pursue research that combines the disciplines of Japanese Literature and Game Studies, exploring the origins of religious content in Japanese game narratives.
I speak English and Japanese, as well as rudimentary Italian.
During the summer of 2019, I served as one of the two summer interns from Hawai'i at the Ehime Prefecture International Center. In the past, I have worked at the Waikīkī Aquarium and as a teaching assistant in the University of Hawai'i's Information & Computer Science Department. I currently work as a research assistant in UHM's Asian Studies department, helping with Dr. Kristi Govella's research.
This website contains some of the work I've done throughout my undergraduate career, particularly my artwork and some of my volunteer activities. For a full list of my professional positions and other work, please see my resume, linked below.
